We ship via Overnight Monday thru Thursday.
We ship Priority
Mail on Monday and Tuesday and to selected Postal Zones on Wednesday.
During extreme heat or extreme cold, we highly recommend selecting
Superworms with Free Overnight Shipping.
If you won't be home when the shipment arrives, then, to avoid having
the Live Super worms left outside and unprotected from the weather, consider
having the Superworms shipped to your worksite or to a neighbor.
If optional shipping point is not an option, then consider leaving an
insulated container with a note for the delivery person to put the package in
it. The objective is for the container to protect your Superworms from
temperature above 84 F or below 60 F.
All our Live Products ship from a
different Location than our other products; therefore, you will receive two
shipments if you mix Live and Non-Live items on your order.
The Superworms for sale are used for feeding some types of reptiles,
birds, and for fish bait.
WHAT ARE SUPERWORMS?
Superworms are a different species than mealworms.
Superworms are Zophobas morio and Mealworms are Tenebrio molitor.
Like Mealworms, Superworms can be fed to Bluebirds.
Superworms are a food source for reptiles.
Superworms can be used as a Fish Bait for Trout, bluegill, and
largemouth bass.
Superworms have legs and are more active than mealworms. This
active movement attracts animals to eat them.
STORAGE OF SUPERWORMS
Don't refrigerate superworms
because cold temperatures will kill them.
Store superworms between 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and not above 84
degrees F.
Superworms will die at temperatures below 60 F.
Place superworms in an uncovered plastic container with approx. 2 inches
of wheat or oat bran or uncooked oatmeal.
Container should be about 5" deep to avoid the superworms from climbing
out.
Put slices of potatoes or apples on top of the bedding.
Mist the top of the bran daily to keep the humidity up.
Replace the food every few days to avoid it from becoming moldy.
