Why Feed Mealworms to Bluebirds?
..To Entice the Bluebirds to use a Nest Box.
..Assist the incubating female bluebird to find food quickly so she does
not have to leave her eggs for long periods of time.
..Act as a supplementary food for nestings, whenever weather conditions
prevent the parents from finding insects.
..Mealworms help Bluebirds survive during spells of severe winter
weather.
..Mealworms are an excellent supplement. Meal worms provide additional
protein to Bluebirds' regular diet of 85% insects and 15% seeds.

What are Mealworms?
..Mealworms are not really worms at all, but are the larval
form of the darkling beetle.
Bulk Mealworms are clean, easy to care for, don't carry human diseases,
& a nutritious food supplement readily accepted by Bluebirds.
Mealworm Shipping
Currently we are shipping via USPS Priority Mail, Express Mail and
Next Day. For each mealworm product, the shipping method can be found under
the product info for that product.
We free ship via Priority Mail and Express Mail on Mondays
and Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to most all States.
Exception: We ship via Priority Mail and Express Mail on
Thursdays to some postal zones in California, Arizona, and Nevada.
Next Day Meal worm Orders ship Monday thru
Thursday.
If the weather is above 55 F or below 42 F and you won't be home when
the shipment arrives, it is a good idea to leave an insulated container with a
note for the delivery person to put the package in to protect your Live
Mealworms from temperature extremes. During extreme temperature conditions,
please consider Overnight delivery.
Care of Live Mealworms
Bluebird Feeder Placement
Place the feeder in the open - within the Bluebird's clear
view from one of their favorite perches. Once discovered and the birds are
taking the food, you can move it gradually to a more desired location. Don't
mount the feeder on an occupied birdhouse, this may attract unwanted birds and
critters to the birdhouse.
