Information
Live Mealworms are a nutritious food supplement for feeding Bluebirds.
The ideal temperature range for storage is 42 F - 55 F.
Refrigerated mealworms will live for several weeks when care
instructions are followed properly.
How To Care for Live Mealworms and Extend Their Lives
1. Keep them in a refrigerator, or other cool spot.
2. Do not allow them to freeze.
3. Take them out of the refrigerator every 5-7 days.
4. Allow them to warm up and start moving around (1-2 hours).
5. After the Mealworms are moving around, put a few 1/4" cubes of
apples in with them.
6. Leave out for another 1-2 hours.
7. After 1-2 hours, refrigerate again.
8. The next time you take them out of refrigerator (5-7 days):
... ....Remove
old apple cubes
....... After
they start moving around, replace.with new apple
cubes.
